This bed frame has a specific structure. Its bottom part is made of solid beech wood in natural colour, which is 4 x 4cm thick beech beams. The construction consists of four legs and eight horizontal supports connecting them. The main body of the bed is made of solid pine painted in white. Painting is quite unusual, because it changes the colour of the furniture, but does not cover its drawing – the rings are visible under the layer of white. This way of finishing the wood allows achieving a great aesthetic effect, much higher than ordinary white furniture made of board. This bed frame has a simple, quite high headrest, also in white. It is fixed at right angles to the bed body. The legs of the bed are hidden under the bed. Such solutions make the bed as short as possible and only 5cm longer than the length of the mattress. Monteleone bed is a very strong wooden construction. They do not use veneers or furniture boards. Their material is solid beech and pine wood combined with each other on so-called ‘micro trailers’. Such a way of joining wood elements allows to make furniture from materials completely free of knots and blemishes and increases its strength and resistance to moisture – the furniture does not warp. Moreover, thanks to this, the bed has a uniform structure and is even more beautiful. When solidly twisted according to the instructions, the wooden bed Monteleone never squeaks or makes any sound. They send the furniture for self-assembly accompanied by a clear instruction manual.
